I built this digital image through soft, translucent photographic layers, allowing blues, greens and ochres to drift into one another, much like light moving across fields under a changing sky. Gentle blurring and sweeping gestures were used to remove detail and encourage the viewer to slow down, read the space emotionally, and find their own horizon within it. Soft gradients of green were laid down first to establish a sense of space, followed by translucent layers of light and texture that were gently blended to create movement and flow. By adjusting opacity and using subtle overlays, I was able to suggest shifting forms without defining them too rigidly.
